New, Unified Approach to AI Governance Gains Rapid Adoption: ARISE Framework Surpasses 500 Users in Two Months
Early adoption across industries signals a shift toward integrated, continuous assurance for AI, cybersecurity, and risk management.
Assessed Intelligence today announced that its ARISE Framework™ has surpassed 500 registered users within two months of its January 2026 launch, signaling strong early validation for a unified approach to AI governance.
Adopted by practitioners across nine industry sectors and six global regions, ARISE reflects a growing demand for integrated governance models that bring together AI risk management, cybersecurity, privacy, and ethics into a single, continuous assurance program.
Unlike traditional approaches that treat these domains independently, the ARISE Framework is designed to close the gap between policy and practice – enabling organizations to operationalize governance in a way that evolves alongside their technology environments.
Organizations have historically been forced to navigate a fragmented landscape of standards, regulations, and frameworks, often managing AI governance, cybersecurity, and compliance activities in isolation from each other. This fragmentation increases operational complexity, creates coverage gaps, and makes it difficult to demonstrate assurance to regulators, auditors, and stakeholders.
The ARISE Framework addresses these challenges by providing a unified structure for continuous assurance. It operationalizes responsible technology management across 128 controls and 889 control requirements, organized into seven integrated pillars that function as a cohesive governance lifecycle:
- Govern: Establishes strategy, accountability, oversight, and policy structures
- Manage: Defines risk management processes, lifecycle governance, and issue handling
- Identify: Enables asset visibility, inventories, dependencies, and classification
- Protect: Implements safeguards, access control, security protections, and privacy controls
- Detect: Provides monitoring for anomalies, drift, threats, and control failures
- Respond: Coordinates escalation, corrective action, recovery, and incident handling
- Validate: Supports testing, evidence collection, audit readiness, and independent assurance
The ARISE Framework is built on the harmonization of leading global standards and regulatory requirements, including NIST RMF, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, EU GDPR, the EU AI Act, CCPA, and SOC 2. By aligning these frameworks into a single structure, ARISE reduces duplication, simplifies implementation, and enables organizations to manage overlapping obligations more efficiently.
Joshua Scarpino, CEO of Assessed Intelligence, commented: “Reaching 500 users this quickly is a strong indicator that organizations are looking for a more integrated and operational approach to governance. The rapid adoption of ARISE reflects a broader shift toward unifying AI, cybersecurity, and compliance into continuous assurance models that can scale with the pace of technological change.”
