Dr. Rogg brings an unparalleled depth of knowledge at the intersection of intelligence history, national security, and global strategy. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of South Florida’s Global and National Security Institute, Vice President of the Society for Intelligence History, and serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence.
His career includes prior faculty roles at the Joint Special Operations University (USSOCOM), The Citadel, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the U.S. Naval War College. His insights have been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The National Interest, The Hill, and the Los Angeles Times. His upcoming book, The Spy and the State: The History of American Intelligence, was published by Oxford University Press in June 2025.
